There were plenty of non-rigged 1950s game shows, but this was one of the infamous rigged ones. Which is a shame, since the format is pretty decent. Around 30 or so episodes survive of this series, curiously enough. Please note that a short section of this episode is missing. favoritefavoritefavorite ( 1 reviews ) Topics: Classic TV, Television, 1950s, 50s, Fifties, Game Show, Game Shows, Quiz Show Scandals, Quiz Show...

A rare episode of the soap opera "The Edge of Night". Unusually well-directed for a late-1950s soapy, with some interesting camera angles. The print is obviously very beat-up, and possibly incomplete (though even back in the 1950s, daytime series had less minutes of actual show than prime-time series). The popular series aired from 1956 to 1984, but most of the pre-1978 episodes are lost. Here's something so bad it makes "Queen for a Day" look like "Masterpiece Theatre". It is an unsold television pilot from 1954, for a game show called "Pass the Line" in which an artist slowly draws a picture in ten steps, and each step is copied by a panel of "celebrities" (one of which is Jonathan Winters!). This is a movie length pilot for a series that never materialised. Blatantly influenced by 'The Exorcist' it stars Dack Rambo (who later appeared in 'Dallas' for a while) and co-stars Dan O'Herlihy as the exorcist and a young Kim Catrall as the mother of the possessed girl. The evil 'Rimmin' - leader of the satanic cult - is played by perennial villain Richard Lynch. favoritefavoritefavorite ( 3 reviews ) Topics: Classic TV, TV movie, Pilot, Horror, Occult, Dan O'Herlihy, Richard Lynch, Kim Catrall

Episode 'Here Come the Grooms' of the unpopular 70's sitcom "Dusty's Trail", which ran during the 1973-1974 season. 'The Beulah Show' was the first TV series to feature an African American woman in the lead role. This episode is called "The Waltz". The show starred Hattie McDaniel. It's commonly believed that most episodes of this show were destroyed.
